Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr will take on Japan’s Yokohama F Marinos in next month’s quarter-finals of the Asian Champions League Elite. Fellow Saudi Pro League team Al Hilal will be up against South Korean newcomers Gwangju FC.
Al Ahli, the third Saudi club to reach the final eight, is set to face Buriram United from Thailand, while Japanese side Kawasaki Frontale will meet Qatar’s Al-Sadd.
All quarter-final matches are scheduled to take place in Jeddah, as part of a centralised competition that will also host the semi-finals and final in the Saudi Arabian port city.
Record four-time champions Al Hilal are slated to play Gwangju in the opening match of the knockout stage on April 25th.
Yokohama F Marinos, who finished as runners-up last season, will clash with Al Nassr, while Al Ahli will also take on Buriram United on April 26th. The following day, Kawasaki Frontale will face Al-Sadd.
The semi-finals are scheduled for April 29th and 30th, with the championship match to be held at King Abdullah Sports City on May 3rd.
