The impending court proceedings involving Taylan May have prompted one NRL club based in Sydney to reportedly reach out to the former Panthers player.
As reported by The Sydney Morning Herald, an unnamed club has shown interest in acquiring May and has made inquiries about his current fitness status.
Last year, May faced charges related to domestic violence and was subsequently placed under the league’s no-fault stand-down policy. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 10.
The 23-year-old was dismissed by Penrith following several incidents, which included inappropriate comments on social media and a video of him driving at high speed.

At the time of his dismissal, May received a confidential settlement from the club.
With an impressive record of 17 tries in 30 NRL matches, the Samoan international was once hailed as one of the most promising young outside backs in the game.

Taylan’s brother, Terrell, has just signed with the Wests Tigers, while his elder sibling, Tyrone, is currently competing in the Super League abroad.
Attempts by Taylan to secure a move to the UK were ultimately unsuccessful.
