Canberra Raiders players Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies have received a breach notice following an incident at their hotel prior to the NRL season opener in Las Vegas.
The duo made headlines in Sin City just days ahead of Canberra’s first match against the Warriors, after they were involved in a disturbance at the team hotel.
Despite both players participating in the two matches played thus far, the NRL has now announced that Young and Smithies have been issued a breach for bringing the game into disrepute.
“Today, the NRL has issued breach notices to Canberra Raiders players Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies for allegedly violating the NRL code of conduct,” the statement read.

“In line with the collective bargaining agreement with the RLPA, any details regarding the NRL’s intended penalties will remain confidential until the players have had a chance to respond to the alleged breach and the situation is resolved.”
