Jimmy Butler notched up 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists, marking his second triple-double for the Golden State Warriors as they narrowly defeated the Toronto Raptors 117-114 on Friday (AEDT), following an injury to Steph Curry.
Curry, who had been rested during this week’s victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, did not return for the final quarter after sustaining a pelvic contusion.
The injury occurred while Curry was attempting to grab a rebound; he was undercut and landed heavily on the court.
He remained down for a considerable time before being assisted to the locker room, having completed the match with 17 points.
Draymond Green contributed with 21 points and seven rebounds for the Warriors, while Quinten Post added 18 points, hitting six three-pointers along the way.

For the Raptors, Scottie Barnes delivered a strong performance with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Immanuel Quickley added 21 points, while Jakob Poeltl contributed 18 points and eight boards.
Despite missing RJ Barrett for a third consecutive game, Toronto stayed competitive but lacked the offensive strength to clinch the win.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr’s side completed a commendable 6-1 homestand, showcasing a squad that appears ready to advance deep into the playoffs. The Warriors have improved to 16-3 since Butler joined the team before the trade deadline.
Post-game, Kerr confirmed that Curry was undergoing an MRI on his pelvic and tailbone area but mentioned that the star player was “trying to return” to the game.
“He believed he could come back, but we chose not to take any chances,” he told reporters.
“We’re hopeful it’s not serious.”
Next up, the Warriors will face the Hawks in Atlanta, while the Raptors will host the San Antonio Spurs.
