Players from AaB, including Andres Jasson, Isak Hansen-Aarøen, and Travis Hernes, have expressed their remorse following an inappropriate nightclub visit in Aalborg on Sunday night, according to an official press release from the club.
The first team squad had been dining at a restaurant in Aalborg on Saturday evening, after which the three players chose to extend their night by going clubbing.
“In a crucial stage of the tournament, it is neither professional nor wise to fail to head home at a reasonable hour. This is not the message we want to convey as a club,” remarked sports director James Gow.
“We are disheartened by this situation and have made it clear to the three players that we expect better judgement from them. This incident has naturally led to internal consequences,” Gow added.
“I’m pleased that Andres, Isak, and Travis recognise their lapse in judgement and have also apologised to their teammates and staff this morning,” said Gow.

Jasson, Hansen-Aarøen, and Hernes issued a collective statement which reads:
“We made a poor decision by not returning home when the restaurant evening concluded. We have apologised both to our teammates and the staff, and we would also like to extend our apologies to the fans and everyone associated with AaB.”
“We promise that this will not be repeated, and now our focus will be on working hard in training to secure victories on the pitch. AaB has welcomed us warmly, and we truly feel at home here. It means a lot to play for AaB, and we must uphold the standards that the club expects of us.”
AaB is set to take on Vejle Boldklub this Sunday afternoon, with all three players available for selection.
