The Indian Premier League and Pakistani Super League have both been postponed as escalating military tensions between the two nations wreak havoc on the cricketing calendar.
The Pakistan Cricket Board had previously announced the relocation of the remaining eight PSL matches to Dubai, citing concerns for the safety of international players. Australian cricketers David Warner and Sean Abbott are amongst those expected to depart.
However, the latest update indicates that the PSL has now been officially postponed, with no information provided regarding a potential resumption.

Reports from India indicate that the UAE Cricket Board, under pressure from the powerful BCCI, has decided against hosting the PSL.
It’s said that the UAE preferred to maintain its good relationship with Indian cricket and is now reportedly offering to host the remaining IPL fixtures, signalling a significant reversal in stance.
The England Cricket Board has also expressed interest in hosting the remainder of the IPL, suggesting they could accommodate the matches in September.

Earlier this week, an Indian drone crashed within the premises of the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium just hours before a PSL match that was set to feature players from New Zealand, Australia, the West Indies, South Africa, and England.
With 16 matches still to be played in the IPL season, the return to play may become complicated as players begin returning home across the globe.
The Guardian has reported that Richard Gould, the ECB chief executive, has reached out to the BCCI to extend his support.
