Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is pleased with the early contributions of Mathys Tel (19), who has made a seamless transition since joining the club.
The French forward was brought in on loan from Bayern Munich last month.
Postecoglou commented, “Absolutely, it’s been very encouraging. I was keen to bring him in, and for a young lad who hasn’t had much game time lately, that was part of the reason he sought a move for more opportunities. I’ve kept him out there for 90 minutes in both matches to help build his physicality, primarily.”
“He’s a hard worker, which is fantastic. We’ve seen in both contests how dedicated he is to the team’s efforts, which is crucial for us. The more he plays, the better he’ll integrate into our style.”
“As a striker, he also needs match time to find his rhythm, and he’s been performing very well for us. He’s immensely valuable. With Dom and Richy nearing returns, we’ll have some excellent options in the attacking third.”
Spurs will next take the pitch against Ipswich this Saturday.
