State of Origin contender Terrell May appears to have inadvertently revealed his own exclusion from the Blues while participating in a live video game stream.
The Wests Tigers prop was broadcasting on Twitch on Thursday evening when viewers caught wind of some compelling remarks made by the former Roosters player.
In conversation with another gamer, May quipped, “You know that Blues jersey I bought you? Just throw it in the bin.”
The individual responded by asking if the Blues squad had been announced yet, prompting May to reference a News Corp article from earlier in the week that suggested he would not make the cut under NSW coach Laurie Daley.
“Nah, it’s not the media. How do you think this information got out? You reckon they’re not just playing a game of Chinese whispers?” he added.
In a light-hearted manner, May joked, “I might have to change my loyalty.”

Many analysts had expected May to be in the frame for an Origin debut following an impressive start to the season with the Tigers.
However, the recent report indicated that Daley had consulted several people at the Tigers who allegedly raised concerns regarding May’s attitude and defensive prowess.
Statistics indicate that May boasts a tackle efficiency rate of 91.6 per cent, placing him among the elite defenders in the NRL.

He has also been logging significant minutes on the field, proving to be arguably the Tigers’ standout performer in the opening 10 rounds.
May’s unexpected release by the Roosters mid-contract has raised eyebrows, with the reasons behind his dismissal remaining unclear.
Last week, former Blues advisor Greg Alexander omitted May from his projected NSW line-up, opting for other front-rowers who are currently performing much less effectively.

“I’d pick Jacob Saifiti. I would place someone like Jacob Saifiti ahead of Terrell May,” Alexander stated on his SEN radio programme.
“May puts in a hefty workload and plays lengthy minutes, but many of his runs don’t make a significant impact.
“They aren’t ineffective, just not particularly impactful. I prefer the influence of someone like Jacob Saifiti.”
This Sunday, the Tigers are up against the Rabbitohs in their final match before the Origin coaches announce their squads for Game One.
