Sydney FC has officially announced a significant overhaul of their Ninja A-League squad, with eight players set to depart at the end of their current contracts.
Among those leaving is CommBank Matildas stalwart Kyah Simon, who has faced challenges in her return season due to injuries.
English players Faye Bryson and Millie Farrow are also set to say goodbye after just one season in the Sky Blue jersey, alongside American forward Shea Connors, who etched her name in history by scoring Sydney’s only goal during their Grand Final victory over Melbourne City in 2024.

Younger midfielder Margaux Chauvet is set to embark on a new path in the United States after spending two years with Sydney FC; she will be joined by goalkeeper Jasmine Black, who is also heading to the US college league.
Black is part of a trio of goalkeepers departing, alongside Beth Mason-Jones and Tahlia Franco.
This mass exit follows a disappointing eighth-place finish for Sydney FC in the 2024-25 Ninja A-League season, marking the first time the Sky Blues have failed to qualify for the Finals Series.
Head coach Ante Juric took a moment to acknowledge the contributions of all eight departing players after their exit was confirmed.
“I extend my gratitude to each player for their efforts during their time here,” Juric stated.
“They’ve consistently demonstrated outstanding commitment, professionalism, and a remarkable spirit throughout their tenure at the club.
“We wish them the best in their future endeavours, both on and off the pitch.”
