Gabriel Veiga, the Spanish midfielder, has made a move to Porto from Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli, as confirmed by both clubs on Thursday.
The Portuguese side announced on its official website that Veiga has committed to a five-year contract, which includes a buyout clause valued at 65 million euros.
“Thank you, Gabri,” expressed the Saudi club in their statement. “We wish you every success in this new chapter with @FCPorto.”
Since his transfer to Al Ahli from Celta Vigo in 2023, Veiga has netted 12 goals and provided 10 assists in 66 appearances, playing a pivotal role in securing the Asian Champions League Elite title for the club for the very first time.
Porto is set to compete in Group A of the Club World Cup, which kicks off on June 14th, joined by Brazil’s Palmeiras, Egypt’s Al-Ahly, and US side Inter Miami.
