In preparation for tonight’s friendly against Lithuania in Odense, Danish national team coach Brian Riemer has opted to make seven alterations to his squad.
“We’ll be testing our plan B against Lithuania, where we’ll be facing a side with two strikers,” Riemer remarked earlier in the week during a press conference ahead of the match.
The attacking duo consists of Kasper Dolberg and Mika Biereth, which means Rasmus Hojlund will start the game on the bench.
In total, Riemer has introduced seven new players compared to the previous friendly against Northern Ireland, adopting a 4-4-2 formation for the fixture.
Returning to the goalkeeping position is Kasper Schmeichel, who was replaced by Filip Jorgensen for the clash against Northern Ireland. Defending in front of Schmeichel are Rasmus Nissen Kristensen, Joachim Andersen, Jannik Vestergaard, and Patrick Dorgu.
The midfield is made up of Anders Dreyer, with Morten Hjulmand and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg occupying the central roles alongside Christian Eriksen.
The match kicks off at 19:00.
The starting line-up:
Kasper Schmeichel – Rasmus Nissen Kristensen, Joachim Andersen, Jannik Vestergaard, Patrick Dorgu – Anders Dreyer, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Morten Hjulmand, Christian Eriksen – Kasper Dolberg, Mika Biereth
