Aussie golf sensation Min Woo Lee has positioned himself perfectly for his first PGA Tour victory at the Houston Open.
Lee enters the final round with a commanding four-shot advantage following a remarkable third round this morning (AEDT).
Teaming up with Scottie Scheffler in the last group, Lee impressively found 14 out of 18 greens on his way to a flawless 7-under 63.
Starting his day by finishing the last two holes of his previous round, he gained momentum with a birdie on the 17th, marking his first hole of the day.

Once his third round commenced, Lee birdied the par-5 third hole, but it was his birdie on the sixth that truly ignited his round. After missing the green with his approach, Lee expertly chipped in.
Spanning a remarkable nine-hole stretch from the sixth to the 14th, Lee notched up six birdies, including a near-ace on the par-3 ninth. His 9-iron shot flew past the hole, leaving fans on the edge of their seats as it spun back, narrowly missing the cup by a whisker. This astonishing play handed him the outright lead.
He ended his round with four consecutive pars, just missing out on setting a course record when his birdie attempt on the 18th hole agonisingly halted just short.

After his round, Lee shared, “I’ve been playing really well these past few days and keeping focused,” in an interview with NBC.
“I’ve drawn lessons from previous experiences playing with Scottie (Scheffler) in the final group of a few tournaments over the last couple of years. Here’s hoping tomorrow is another good day.”
Lee emphasised that his strategy for the final round is to maintain a similar approach as during his third round.
“I just need to stay steady off the tee. There were a couple of shaky drives towards the end, but I managed to regroup and make it work,” he explained.
“I’ll keep my focus and take it one shot at a time.”
He will compete in the final round alongside Argentine Alejandro Tosti, who shot a superb 5-under 65 to secure second place. Kiwi Ryan Fox is tied for third with Scheffler and American Ryan Gerard.
Meanwhile, Jason Day finds himself in a tie for 41st at 5-under, trailing by 12 shots.
