There are concerns surrounding Brian To’o’s availability for next week’s State of Origin clash in Perth, as the NSW winger is currently resting due to a minor injury.
According to Nine’s Danny Weidler, the tackle-busting sensation is dealing with a “hamstring niggle” ahead of game two at Optus Stadium, although he is still anticipated to participate.
In light of this situation, the impressive Bulldogs winger Jacob Kiraz has been brought into camp and will be on standby to step in for To’o if he is unable to play.
To’o delivered a standout performance in the series opener for the Blues, amassing a game-high 225 metres and securing a try during a dominant victory at Suncorp Stadium.
Nevertheless, this latest setback raises concerns, especially considering To’o’s history of hamstring injuries that have kept him off the field for significant stretches this season.

The 26-year-old missed Penrith’s opening match in Las Vegas but made his return for round two, only to be sidelined for six weeks after re-aggravating the injury.
Since To’o’s comeback in round 10, Penrith has achieved two victories and a draw against North Queensland while he has been on the field.

Meanwhile, Kiraz has been in fantastic form for Canterbury, who currently sit at the top of the NRL ladder at the season’s halfway mark.
The local junior has scored four tries and made 46 tackles across seven appearances.
Additionally, Bulldogs teammate Matt Burton is also part of the Blues squad and may take on a position in the outside backs should To’o be unable to play.
