Two remarkable try-saving tackles in the closing moments enabled the Dolphins to secure a determined and thrilling 20-16 win against the Eels on Thursday night.
The second tackle unfolded in the final 30 seconds when Dolphins fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow took down Eels playmaker Dylan Brown on Parramatta’s left flank.
Had Brown not lost possession in the tackle, the Eels would have had the opportunity for one more attempt at breaching the Dolphins’ defence.
“All I could do was a right-foot step,” Brown explained to Nine’s Emma Lawrence after the game, reflecting on the frantic play.

“I faked and he got me straight away, so I don’t know, he’s just that quick.
“Fox [Josh Addo-Carr] should have just kept running [instead of passing to Brown].
“It’s pretty embarrassing to drop it there.”
