Future Secured: Macarthur FC’s Head Coach Mile Sterjovski Pens Long-Term Contract Extension

Macarthur Bulls FC have confirmed a three-season contract extension for their head coach, Mile Sterjovski, ensuring that the former Socceroo will remain with the club until the conclusion of the 2027-28 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

Sterjovski was a key figure at the Bulls since their inaugural campaign in 2020, initially guiding the club’s NSW NPL1 youth team and serving as assistant to head coach Ante Milicic from 2020 to 2022.

Having been appointed head coach of the Macarthur A-League team in January 2023, Sterjovski has supervised 62 league matches. Under his guidance, the Bulls reached the Elimination Finals in the 2024-25 season and clinched the Australia Cup title in 2024.

Group CEO Sam Krslovic commended Sterjovski’s contributions to the club thus far and expressed enthusiasm for what lies ahead over the next three years.

“Mile has been with us from the very beginning,” Krslovic said.

“He has played a pivotal role in developing the foundations of the club, both on and off the pitch, leading to our Australia Cup win, qualification for the (AFC Cup), and most importantly, fostering player development and opportunities.”

“We are excited to continue this positive journey with Mile in the coming years.”

Sterjovski remarked, “I am very thankful to still be part of the club and feel proud to lead the team. It has been a fantastic journey so far, filled with its fair share of ups and downs.”

“My goal is quite straightforward: I want us to emerge as a successful team above all else. I believe we are on the path to becoming a great club, one of the top sides in the A-League.”

“It’s crucial that we all unite behind the club. I believe we are heading in the right direction. Our fan base is expanding, and we have significant work ahead. I can envision us evolving into a major club in the future.”

Sterjovski and his squad are set to face the Newcastle Jets on Friday night.
