Sevens star Charlotte Caslick is set to make her first starting appearance for the Wallaroos against reigning world champions New Zealand this Saturday in Newcastle.
Caslick previously made her Test debut from the bench during last weekend’s emphatic 43-7 victory over Fiji in Suva.
Following a knee injury to the prolific winger Maya Stewart, Caslick has been given the opportunity to don the coveted gold No.14 jersey for the opening match of the Pacific Four Series.

Fullback Caitlyn Halse and centre Bienne Terita will also miss the match due to hamstring injuries, paving the way for Faitala Moleka and Georgina Friedrichs to step into their positions.
Fellow sevens player Tia Hinds will take on the No.10 jersey, while lock Kaitlan Leaney and prop Bridie O’Gorman return to the lineup after being rested last week.
It’s worth noting that the Wallaroos have yet to secure a victory against the Black Ferns.

Rising star Braxton Sorensen-McGee will debut at fullback for New Zealand, while prop Awhina Tangen-Wainohu returns from the bench, marking her first Test since the 2022 Rugby World Cup.
Allan Bunting, Director of Performance for the Black Ferns, expressed his admiration for Sorensen-McGee’s performance in training.
“We’re absolutely thrilled for Braxton, and we can’t wait to see her in the black jersey; it’s a moment of pride for her and her whanau,” said Black Ferns coach Allan Bunting.

“Selections have been made based on consistent performances. I’ve been particularly impressed with the positive attitudes within our squad,” he added.
At just 18 years of age, Sorensen-McGee opted to pursue a rugby career over league, having previously excelled for the Blues in Super Rugby.
She has a rich league heritage, being related to Kiwis legends Kurt and Dane Sorensen.
