British F4 – Thruxton
Australian racers Jimmy Piszyck and Xavier Avramides put on a remarkable show last weekend at the fast-paced Thruxton Circuit in Hampshire.
During a fiercely contested qualifying session, Piszyck managed to secure ninth place. However, Race One turned out to be unfortunate for the Aussie as contact with Fortec Motorsport’s Thomas Ingram on the opening lap led to an early retirement.
This incident, compounded by worsening rain conditions, resulted in a red flag and a 10-minute stoppage before the race resumed.
Avramides, who started Race One from the very back of the grid, made a commendable effort, advancing to 10th place by the time the chequered flag fell, aided by a well-timed safety car during the wet conditions.
The second race was yet another challenge marked by rain, where Piszyck clinched third place on the podium. Avramides also shone, moving from 24th to 13th, showing his adaptability in wet conditions during his first drive in the rain within the series.
In the final race, Piszyck managed to gain three spots, finishing sixth, while Avramides concluded his weekend in 15th after another impressive recovery from 24th on the grid.
“It was crucial to keep our momentum going and to continue accumulating good points throughout the weekend,” Piszyck reflected.
“This season is poised to be extremely competitive, so securing a podium finish is a huge boost for us. While I wished for a better outcome in qualifying, we managed to bounce back from the setbacks in Race One. The track’s speed creates exciting racing, allowing me to regain positions as the weekend progressed.”
Both Aussie drivers made substantial strides at Thruxton, demonstrating their ability to adapt to the challenging conditions while maintaining consistency throughout the races.
The next round of the 2025 British F4 Championship is set to take place at Oulton Park on 21-22 June.

Porsche Carrera Cup Italia – Vallelunga
The 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Italia made its way to Vallelunga for Rounds 3-4, with Australian Bayley Hall making significant strides over the weekend.
A challenging qualifying session resulted in Hall starting Race One from 14th position. Nevertheless, the Aussie fought back admirably during the race, regaining three spots to finish 11th.
He carried this momentum into Race Two, where he finished 10th, marking an impressive result during his first outing of the season.
Hall is now set to return home for the 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Australia at Hidden Valley Raceway, Darwin, from 20-22 June.

Formula Regional European Championship – Zandvoort
Jack Beeton encountered a tough weekend at Zandvoort, but his commitment to improvement bodes well as he looks forward to future races.
Difficult weather conditions during qualifying presented challenges, with a mistake on the last lap robbing Beeton of a better starting position, landing him 12th on the grid.
During Race One, the Australian executed impressive overtaking maneuvers, moving up from 11th to ninth, ultimately securing crucial Championship points.
Unfortunately, Race Two proved to be less favourable, with Beeton finishing 17th after a challenging contest.
The next round of the 2025 Formula Regional European Championship is scheduled for Budapest on 6 July.
