The Sydney Swans have put an end to their two-game losing streak, claiming victory over the Richmond Tigers at the MCG with a scoreline of 11.14 (80) to 4.12 (36).
In the lead-up to this match, the Swans faced heavy defeats of 53 points against the Demons and a staggering 90-point loss at home to Adelaide.
Richmond initially held a six-point advantage at the end of the first quarter, but the Swans surged ahead, dominating each quarter thereafter.

Forward James Jordon shone for the Swans, netting three goals, while Nick Blakey topped the disposal count with an impressive 34 touches.
Following the humbling loss to Adelaide, Swans’ leadership held a mandatory beach session at Clovelly on Sunday morning. The training involved traditional exercises such as push-ups and sit-ups, complemented by a refreshing swim. The players had departed the SCG just after midnight the previous night, with coach Dean Cox joining the early morning session.
After the match, Cox acknowledged that while the performance was not visually appealing, it achieved the desired result.
“The players deserve credit for executing what they discussed throughout the week,” he remarked.
“The first quarter had a bit of rustiness to it and there were some nerves about how we would perform, but they regrouped and secured a win that, while not pretty, was necessary for us.”
