Trae Young delivered a stunning buzzer-beating three-pointer from just beyond half-court, clinching a 124-121 triumph for the Atlanta Hawks against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday (AEDT).
Receiving an inbounds pass, Young dribbled to just short of half-court and launched an incredible 49-foot shot as the clock expired, with Collin Sexton applying only light pressure after he had earlier tied the game with four seconds to go.
Celebrating with his teammates, the crowd at Utah’s Delta Center was left in disbelief by this extraordinary last-second play.
“Oh my – gathers himself and says goodnight Utah, what a game,” remarked Dominique Wilkins during his commentary for FanDuel.

In addition to his last-minute heroics, Young logged 24 points alongside 20 assists. Australian Dyson Daniels contributed with 16 points, seven assists, and six rebounds, helping the Hawks break a three-game losing streak.
Lauri Markkanen shone for Utah with a season-high eight three-pointers, scoring a total of 35 points, while Sexton netted 24 points.
The Jazz managed to pull ahead 114-113 after scoring five consecutive times near the end of the game, but it was not enough to withstand the determined Hawks and their star player.
Tough times continue for the Jazz, as they have only mustered two victories in their last 15 home matches. They will face off against the Miami Heat later this week, while Atlanta is set to travel to take on the Phoenix Suns.
