Maddie Caspers, the talented 18-year-old midfielder for the Young Matildas and Sydney FC, has been nominated for the March Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year award.
This season, Caspers has made 21 appearances for the Sky Blues.
With one goal and three assists under her belt, her outstanding performance in March led to the nomination. Notably, she found the back of the net for the first time this season during a 2-1 victory over Wellington Phoenix, in addition to setting up Shea Connors’ decisive goal in a thrilling 3-2 triumph over Brisbane Roar.

The nomination process was conducted by a panel selected by the Australian Professional Leagues (APL), which comprises a mix of media personnel and football technical experts. They cast their votes based on a 3-2-1 point system at the end of each nominated monthly segment throughout the season.
Caspers and her Sydney FC teammates will face off against Perth Glory on Saturday, April 12, at Leichhardt Oval.
