Caroline Wilson is steadfast in her claim that St Kilda defender Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera has ‘serious concerns’ about initiating a trade to Adelaide, linked to the racism suspension that Taylor Walker faced in 2021.
Following her original report on Monday, the player’s manager refuted the claims, asserting they were unfounded.
In response, Wilson reinforced her position, suggesting the manager was not privy to the private conversations Wanganeen-Milera was having with those close to him.

Despite this, reports later surfaced that the out-of-contract defender contacted Walker directly to clarify that the story was inaccurate.
Wanganeen-Milera has been heavily linked with a homecoming to either of South Australia’s clubs and is contemplating offers exceeding $1 million per season.
When asked about the backlash stemming from her report, Wilson maintained her stance during a Saturday afternoon interview.
“I’m fully aware that when I publish a story like this, I open myself up to scrutiny because I may have put pressure on Wanganeen-Milera,” Wilson stated on 3AW.
“He has confided in friends and colleagues about his serious concerns regarding playing for the Adelaide Crows due to the events involving Walker in 2021.”

“Furthermore, I’m aware that Wanganeen-Milera’s manager may have been uninformed. I’ve also spoken with the Crows, who dispute this position.
“The Crows have made an impressive presentation to Nasiah; in fact, I’ve been told it’s the best he has received compared to the others.
“He has received offers for long-term contracts, including an eight-year proposal from Port and a similar term from the Crows, while St Kilda is also keen to secure him with a lengthy deal.
“St Kilda feels secure in their ability to retain him, and this situation is well known not just to them, but also to Port Adelaide and many of Wanganeen-Milera’s friends and associates.
“I can only report what I have and I assure you, I did not fabricate the story; it is entirely accurate.”
The standout defender delivered an impressive performance during St Kilda’s 72-point defeat to the Western Bulldogs on Thursday night, racking up 31 disposals and scoring a goal.
