On Sunday, Southampton confirmed the appointment of Will Still as their new manager, following his acceptance of a three-year contract with the relegated Premier League side.
The 32-year-old Still arrives at St Mary’s after leading Lens to an eighth-place finish in France’s Ligue 1 this season.
“I’m incredibly proud and excited to have joined Southampton – there’s significant potential here, and we have a fantastic opportunity to create something special,” Still stated on the club’s website.
“The vision shared with me is truly impressive, and together, I believe we can establish a distinct identity and cultivate a very positive future for the team.
“I can’t wait to connect with you, the supporters. I look forward to hearing your voices and experiencing the energy and belief at St Mary’s and beyond.
“I’m keen to get started this summer and begin assembling a cohesive group that can make all of us proud and ultimately return us to where we rightfully belong: in the Premier League.”
