Melbourne Victory has secured a loan deal for Alex Badolato from Western Sydney Wanderers, which will see him join the club for the rest of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
The 19-year-old is set to arrive at Victory following the completion of the Subway Young Socceroos’ AFC Under-20 Asian Cup campaign in China, where he played a key role in Australia’s emphatic 5-1 victory over the Kyrgyz Republic on Wednesday.
During this season, Badolato has made two substitute appearances for the Wanderers and has accumulated a total of 20 league outings since making his debut for the club in the 2021-22 season. He even found the back of the net in the club’s 2024 Australia Cup run.

“Our goal this season is to secure silverware, and we firmly believe that by bringing in talents like Alex and Lachlan (Jackson) during this transfer window, we are making strides towards achieving that aim.”
