Melbourne Victory has confirmed that 23-year-old Brazilian winger Clarismario Santos has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.
Santos made the move to Victory from Cypriot First Division club AEK Larnaca ahead of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2024-25 season and made 26 appearances during his inaugural season in the navy blue strip.
A product of Brazilian football giants Fluminense, Santos is keen to build on his initial campaign, which included a Grand Final appearance, after committing to the club for the next two seasons. This new deal ensures that the young talent will remain with Victory through to the conclusion of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2026-27 season.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club thus far, playing in front of our fantastic supporters alongside a brilliant group of teammates with a thrilling style of play,” Santos expressed.
“Although I take pride in our achievements last season, I’m eager for more and wish to play a significant role in our future successes as we aim to advance further next season.”
Santos is the first player to re-sign with Victory this off-season, following the departures of key players such as Kasey Bos (to Mainz) and Daniel Arzani (to Ferencvarosi TC).
Following the announcement of Santos’ contract extension, Victory’s director of football John Didulica expressed confidence that the Brazilian will continue to develop at the club, remarking on the fact that Santos missed a large portion of pre-season as they head into the 2024-25 campaign.
“Santos joined right at the start of the season and adapted swiftly to the challenges of the A-League, showcasing his flair and creativity,” Didulica noted.
“I have complete faith that his best football is still ahead of him, and he has the potential to establish himself as one of the league’s most exciting and effective players.”
