The Victorian Super Sprint Championship (VSSC) is back for another thrilling season, offering competitors the chance to compete for the coveted championship title across four rounds.
A selection of clubs based in Victoria will each host one of the events throughout the season, kicking off with the inaugural round at Sandown International Raceway on Sunday, 30 March, organised by the WRX Club of Victoria.
Entries for this event will close on Thursday, 27 March 2025, so eligible drivers are urged to register now and be part of the excitement.
What exactly is a Super Sprint?
In contrast to traditional door-to-door racing, Super Sprint events employ a time trial format where drivers strive to record the quickest lap time. Key components such as accuracy, consistency, and speed play crucial roles in achieving a strong performance in a Super Sprint.
Why should you compete?
Participating in the VSSC allows you to race against competitors from outside your own club and offers a chance to claim the title of Motorsport Australia Victorian Super Sprint Champion for 2025.
Who is eligible to participate?
The VSSC is open to a diverse range of participants, from those beginning their journey in competitive motorsport to seasoned drivers and club competitors. A Motorsport Australia Speed Licence or higher is mandatory for those wishing to compete in the VSSC.
What are the entry fees?
Entry fees differ depending on the round, circuit, and hosting club. For the opening round of the Championship, the entry fees are as follows:
WRX Club Member Late Entry: $275
Non-WRX Members Late Entry: $305
How can you get involved?
Entries are accepted through the Motorsport Australia Online Event Entry https://motorsport.org.au/media/news/detail/2025/03/25/victorian-super-sprint-championship-to-begin-at-sandown/ system, which opens roughly one month prior to each VSSC round. Competitors must register for each round individually; there is no option for a single season entry.
For additional information, including the schedule, track protocols, entry requirements, driver eligibility, vehicle specifications, safety gear, and more, please refer to the Supplementary Regulations for each round.
Complete your registration via Motorsport Australia Event Entry and ensure you follow all necessary steps to finalise your entry.
