Victorian Esports Championship: The Clash of Titans Commences

Registrations are now open for competitive gamers in Victoria eager to vie for the title in the MOZA Racing Victorian Esports Championship during MotorEx 23.

The championship consists of two distinct phases: the first being the Pre-Qualifying online event set for mid-April, followed by the in-person finals at the Melbourne Showgrounds in early May.

Pre-Qualifying will take place online from 14 to 20 April 2025, and it is open to all residents of Victoria aged 13 and over who hold a Motorsport Australia Esports licence. Interested competitors must complete the online registration form before performing their ‘Hot Lap’ qualification online.

Once registered, competitors can access the designated iRacing open servers and aim to clock their fastest lap around Mount Panorama, Bathurst, driving a BMW M2 CSR. Participants are encouraged to attempt as many laps as necessary to achieve their best time. The fastest eight drivers will then be invited to participate in the finals at MotorEx, with qualifying taking place on Saturday, 3 May, and the semi-finals and championship final following on Sunday, 4 May.

The finals will determine the champion, featuring the eight qualifiers alongside four wildcard entries competing in qualifying rounds, with eight drivers advancing to the semi-finals. The top two from each race will secure spots in the final Championship Race.

The Championship final will consist of a 10-lap race, and the first driver to cross the finish line will be crowned the 2025 MOZA Racing Victorian Esports Champion, receiving a MOZA Racing R3 Bundle, which includes the R3 Direct Drive Wheelbase, ES Steering Wheel, and SR-P Lite Pedals.
