The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship makes its way to the Northern Territory this coming weekend, where vital points are up for grabs. Broc Feeney continues to demonstrate that this season is firmly within his grasp, following his victory at the Bosch Power Tools Perth Super 440.
Feeney’s fifth triumph of the season has widened his lead in the Drivers’ Standings, now sitting at 1,181 points, a comfortable 72 points ahead of his Red Bull Ampol Racing/Triple Eight Race Engineering teammate Will Brown.
Drivers have begun arriving in Darwin as of Tuesday, preparing for the initial practice sessions set for Friday. Crews are establishing their base at the scenic Hidden Valley Raceway.
The driver accumulating the most points over the weekend’s trio of races will earn the coveted Darwin Triple Crown, a title highly desired on the Supercars calendar.
Notably, this event will also mark the inaugural Supercars’ Indigenous Round, with all 25 competing Supercars featuring distinctive indigenous-designed liveries.
Tickford Racing’s Cam Waters stands fourth in the Drivers’ Championship ahead of this weekend’s racing.
Waters shared his enthusiasm about the Triple Crown and his desire to add this accolade to his racing achievements.
“It’s fantastic to be up in Darwin; the weather is beautiful, and there’s such a vibrant atmosphere,” Waters commented.
“Many fans travel to Darwin specifically to watch the Supercars, and there’s plenty happening both on and off the track. Everyone’s vying for that Triple Crown, but for us, it’s about having a strong weekend and regaining some car speed that we’ve been missing. We’re eager to hit the track.”
Local driver Bryce Fullwood is also counting on the home ground advantage to boost his chances of claiming the Darwin Triple Crown.
“It’s exciting to see so many fans here,” Fullwood expressed.
“Racing at home holds significant meaning for me; I get to truly claim this race as my own, and the support here is amazing. I’m soaking it all in!”
Racing action kicks off on Friday with two practice sessions, followed by two 42-lap races on Saturday.
The weekend wraps up with a single 70-lap race on Sunday.
The driver amassing the most points across the three races from 21-22 June will be crowned the Darwin Triple Crown champion.
Fans can catch the Darwin Triple Crown broadcast live on Foxtel and Kayo, as well as on free-to-air via Seven and 7plus.
