Corica’s nomination also featured competitors like John Aloisi from Western United, Ruben Zadkovich of Brisbane Roar, and Aurelio Vidmar from Melbourne City. He received the highest number of votes among the four nominees, securing the April/May accolade.

Corica was put forward for the April/May award through Football Coaches Australia’s monthly selection process.
In partnership with FCA, Australian Professional Leagues (APL) has ensured that fans play a vital role in celebrating exceptional coaching achievements in both the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Ninja A-League Women since the 2022-23 season.
The FCA has established an experienced panel to determine the monthly nominees for Coach of the Month in both leagues, with fans casting the deciding votes to choose the winner from these nominees.
The eligibility window for April/May encompassed Rounds 25-29 of the Isuzu UTE A-League, with matches from April 4 to May 5 taken into account by the FCA Panel when selecting nominees for Coach of the Month.
During this eligibility period, Corica managed five matches, achieving two victories, two draws, and a single loss as Auckland comfortably secured the 2024-25 Premiership title, ending five points clear of Melbourne City in the second position.

Auckland is poised to take a break during the first weekend of the Finals Series and will face the lowest-ranked winner of the two Elimination Finals scheduled for May 9 and 10.
Western United, who finished third, will host Adelaide United at Ironbark Fields on Friday, May 9, for the opening Elimination Final. Following this, fourth-placed Western Sydney Wanderers will take on fifth-placed Melbourne Victory at CommBank Stadium on Saturday, May 10.
The highest-ranked winner from the Elimination Finals will proceed to take on Melbourne City in a two-legged Semi-Final, while Auckland will clash with the lowest-ranked winner.
