In a dramatic finish, Torino salvaged a 1-1 draw against Lazio thanks to a late equaliser by super-sub Gvidas Gineitis, leaving the home side winless in four matches for the first time since March 2024.
The match started off rather disjointed, with neither side managing to take control early on.
After suffering a humiliating 5-0 defeat to Bologna in their previous outing, Lazio began to find their footing, with Mattia Zaccagni forcing a spectacular save from Torino’s Vanja Milinkovic-Savic. Zaccagni struck a powerful first-time shot from a rebound, only for the keeper to palm it over the bar.
Moments later, Milinkovic-Savic nearly found himself in a compromising position when he ventured off his line to handle a long ball but lost focus and conceded possession to Pedro.
Fortunately for him, he scrambled back just in time to thwart Pedro’s attempt, with Gustav Isaksen then hitting the side netting from the follow-up.
On the opposite end, Torino’s best opportunity came when Cesare Casadei dispossessed Alessio Romagnoli. He crossed to Che Adams, whose lacklustre shot was easily cleared.

The first half ended with little action, but Torino finally made an effort after the break when Guillermo Maripan’s powerful header was tipped over the bar.
By the 60-minute mark, Marco Baroni’s side had taken the lead as Pedro set up Adam Marusic, who latched onto a well-placed pass and curled a brilliant shot into the far corner from just outside the box.
It could have easily been 2-0 soon after, but Milinkovic-Savic’s quick reflexes stopped Zaccagni from scoring following a clever run into the penalty area. Matteo Guendouzi also came close with a low shot from 20 yards that narrowly missed the target.
It seemed Lazio were on track to secure their first clean sheet in seven games, but Gineitis, one of multiple attacking substitutions introduced by Paolo Vanoli, broke through with a first-time finish after a deflected cross found him in the box.
Lazio nearly regained the lead promptly, yet Tijjani Noslin’s acrobatic effort was saved, resulting in them settling for their third 1-1 draw in four matches. Meanwhile, Torino has continued their impressive run, scoring in eight straight away games—currently the longest streak in Serie A.
