Manly Sea Eagles star Tom Trbojevic showcased a heartfelt post-try celebration during the match against the Rabbitohs, honouring the late Diogo Jota.
The Liverpool midfielder tragically passed away on July 3 (AEST) at the age of 28, leaving a profound impact on the sporting community.
Trbojevic notched a try in the 27th minute for the Sea Eagles, then raised his hands to form a ’20’ towards the cameras—a nod to Jota’s jersey number while at Liverpool, a symbol that will now be remembered.
During a half-time interview with Brad Fittler, Trbojevic confirmed that the tribute was indeed dedicated to Jota.
