The playing surface at the SCG has come under fire for being perilous and unsuitable during the showdown between the Swans and the Bulldogs on Friday night.
Concerns have been raised primarily about the Paddington End, where the uneven and torn grass has caused players to lose their footing throughout the match.
In contrast, the rest of the field appears to be in good condition.
Brisbane legend Jonathan Brown did not hold back in his assessment of the surface during the second quarter of the contest.

“Are we really meant to be playing on this surface?” Brown questioned on Fox Footy.
“This is one of the worst conditions I’ve witnessed in years. I recall the early days of Marvel Stadium when the pitch resembled a sandpit, but this is just unacceptable.
“It’s appalling for management to allow the ground to fall into such a state. It’s disappointing since it detracts from what should be a fantastic event.”
The problems with the turf did not go unnoticed on social media, with Nine’s chief AFL reporter Tom Morris describing it as “death valley.”
This term harkens back to the early reputation of Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium when it faced severe turf issues.
Former Adelaide star Josh Jenkins referred to the surface as a “complete disgrace.”
The ground appears to have yet to recover from a concert held back in early April.
