The Chiefs have announced a strengthened back row for their upcoming clash against the Brumbies in the second semi-final on Saturday.
All Blacks talents Wallace Sititi and Luke Jacobson will feature in Clayton McMillan’s starting lineup.
Sititi was unexpectedly utilised from the bench during their defeat to the Blues, while captain Jacobson had to withdraw late due to injury.

Both players replace Simon Parker and Kaylum Boshier, while the Chiefs also see centre Quinn Tupaea return from injury, taking the place of Gideon Wrampling.
McMillan shared his thoughts on the Brumbies, stating, “They’ve established themselves as the leading Australian team. They are tough, well-coordinated and know how to secure victory in close contests. Their display against the Hurricanes illustrates their ability to remain clinical and composed in high-pressure situations.”
“We understand that they bring a distinct style of rugby. It’s well-structured, featuring a strong set piece and an intelligent kicking strategy, and we are ready for that.”

He continued, “This week is about being physically prepared, maintaining discipline, and trusting our approach to step up to the challenge.”
Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham has retained his squad of 23.
“The team is hitting their stride at the right moment. I was impressed with their performance over the weekend,” Larkham noted.
“Our selection is driven by performance, but we also want to ensure continuity as we head into the finals. It’s beneficial to have consistency at this stage of the competition.”
“We’ll need to keep our emotions in check this week. The players can draw a lot of confidence from the way they’re performing. The statistics indicate that we’re playing excellent rugby and have demonstrated consistency all season.”
“We expect a larger crowd for the finals on Saturday. When we arrive in Hamilton, we know the supporters will be loud with their cowbells and they’re incredibly passionate about their team. It will create a fantastic atmosphere for both teams.”
