“Last year, he was the kid in the team who everyone found amusing whenever he spoke, as he had a bit of a jokester vibe,” Jane reflected.
“This year, he has transformed into the true leader of our side. Right from the start of pre-season, he’s made it clear that he wants to be our first-choice No.10 and take charge. It’s been remarkable to witness his growth as a player and leader, and we can expect even more from him moving forward.”
Both the Hurricanes and the Drua are looking to bounce back after experiencing narrow defeats to the Crusaders and Brumbies respectively in their opening matches.
Hurricanes lock Isaia Walker-Leawere has been ruled out due to concussion, with Hugo Plummer stepping into the starting lineup.
