Tottenham Hotspur secured their place in an all-English UEFA Europa League final with a 2-0 victory over Bodo/Glimt, triumphing 5-1 on aggregate and putting an end to the Norwegian side’s impressive run.
Under the grey clouds and rain of Norway’s Arctic Circle, Spurs started brightly, with Richarlison’s strike being blocked just two minutes into the match.
At the other end, Ole Didrik Blomberg managed to evade defenders during a corner, but his attempt from a tight angle hit the side netting.
Just after the 15-minute mark, Tottenham experienced a promising spell, beginning with a dangerous cross from Destiny Udogie that was parried by goalkeeper Nikita Haikin, with Brennan Johnson poised to pounce.
The Russian goalkeeper then tipped Pedro Porro’s free kick—aimed for the top corner—over the bar before Bodo/Glimt applied pressure with a free kick of their own.
Guglielmo Vicario made a crucial save from Patrick Berg’s delivery, only for Kasper Hogh to direct a header just over the top.
After the interval, Kjetil Knutsen’s team continued to create chaos, but Udogie cleared a subsequent free-kick delivery from under his own crossbar following a challenge in the box.
Dejan Kulusevski then found his shot inadvertently blocked by teammate Johnson, as the Lilywhites pressed for a goal to confirm their final berth.
Udogie was pivotal again around the hour mark, shoving Fredrik Andre Bjorkan’s cross to safety.
This proved vital as just five minutes later, Tottenham silenced the home crowd when Dominic Solanke scored.
The English forward slotted the ball home from close range after Cristian Romero leapt to meet a corner, sending the travelling Spurs fans into ecstasy.
It wasn’t long before Pedro Porro extended their lead.
He might claim it was deliberate, but it appeared to be a mishit cross from the Spanish winger on the right that found its way into the net off the inside of the post, leaving Haikin wrong-footed.
This goal sealed the hosts’ six-match home winning streak as Ange Postecoglou’s side comfortably managed the remainder of the game, reaching their sixth European final. They now stand just one win away from transforming a lacklustre domestic season into a glimmer of hope with European silverware.
