The teams are ready for the second legs of the semi-finals in the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League.
Melbourne Victory will be making the trip to Go Media Stadium to take on Auckland FC this Saturday. Coach Arthur Diles has named club captain Roderick Miranda in the extended squad as they prepare to cross the Tasman.
Miranda missed the first leg, which ended in a 1-0 defeat for the Victory against Auckland, and with his defensive replacement, Brendan Hamill, suffering an ACL injury last week, the return of Miranda would be a significant boost for the team as they aim to overcome their aggregate deficit to reach the Grand Final.
In a press conference on Thursday morning before their Auckland trip, Diles confirmed that Miranda has resumed training, although a final decision regarding his travel to the semi-final will be made closer to match day.
“Roddy trained today,” Diles stated.
“He seemed to be in good shape, so fingers crossed that he feels fine tomorrow and is fit enough to travel with the squad. We should have a clearer picture tomorrow morning.”

In the other semi-final clash, Western United faces a daunting three-goal deficit against Melbourne City, as they strive for a remarkable comeback at AAMI Park on Saturday evening.
City clinched a convincing 3-0 victory in the first leg, missing defender Nathaniel Atkinson due to a minor calf injury, but he is expected to return to the squad this weekend.
