Scottie Scheffler has made some exciting additions to the menu for the Masters Club dinner, which he’ll be hosting for past champions. And yes, ravioli will feature prominently.
The ravioli is somewhat responsible for Scheffler still working on regaining full strength in his right hand. He suffered a palm injury when a wine glass shattered while he was preparing ravioli for Christmas dinner, necessitating surgery and sidelining him from golf for a month.
For starters, he’ll once again serve cheeseburger sliders and firecracker shrimp, complemented by a choice of ribeye or redfish for the main dish. Additionally, he has included Texas-style chilli, inspired by a recipe from Randy Smith, his long-time swing coach.
As for the ravioli?
It’s being presented as “Papa Scheff’s Meatball and Ravioli Bites,” a beloved dish from his father, Scott Scheffler, whom he fondly recalls from his childhood.
“Whenever Dad made them, we were all really excited,” Scheffler reminisced during a conference call in preparation for the Masters. “I thought it would be fun to include them in this year’s menu, and the raviolis add a nice touch, too.”

Fortunately, Scheffler won’t be in the kitchen himself, allowing him to focus on his game as he strives for a third green jacket at the Masters from April 10-14.
The reigning Masters champion missed the start of his season by skipping The Sentry at Kapalua and The American Express in California while waiting for his hand to heal. Now that the pain has subsided, Scheffler has been working on regaining the full strength and range of motion in his hand.
“I have no pain, but regaining complete range of motion in my hand has been a bit of a challenge since I wasn’t able to use certain muscles for nearly a month,” he explained. “It’s important to rebuild that strength.”
Since returning to play, Scheffler has recorded two top-10 finishes in his five tournaments, with a tie for 25th being his lowest result at the Phoenix Open. He has one more event, the Houston Open next week, before heading to Augusta National.
“It would be foolish to say I wasn’t slightly set back by this; taking that amount of time off certainly had an impact,” he said. “Being a right-handed golfer, any injury to that hand, especially one requiring surgery, will definitely affect you.”
“But each day brings improvement in my hand,” he added. “My body is getting back to where it needs to be, and I’m feeling good about my swing as well. I’m really looking forward to the progress I’m making.”
With only two weeks to go, Scheffler is on the verge of reaching 97 consecutive weeks at the top of the world rankings, a feat only matched by Tiger Woods, who has held the No. 1 spot for longer periods of 264 weeks and 281 weeks.
Scheffler will aim to join Woods, Nick Faldo, and Jack Nicklaus as one of the few repeat champions at Augusta National.
