The chairman of the Roosters, Nick Politis, along with board member Mark Bouris, will not face any penalties following a contentious incident in Las Vegas at the beginning of the season.
Both Politis and Bouris were reportedly involved in an argument with a referee during the Nines tournament while supporting the Los Angeles Roosters.
Referee Mitch James lodged a complaint that was subsequently examined by the NRL’s integrity unit.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the prominent figures will not be penalised by the NRL but have been cautioned against approaching match officials in the future.

The complaint made by James suggested that Bouris and Politis confronted him, with Bouris allegedly claiming, “you reffed us out of the game”.
Bouris has since denied to The Herald that there were any threats issued, but did acknowledge that an incident took place.
In a separate matter, Manly hooker Gordon Chan Kum Tong has also avoided sanctions following an altercation with a Warriors supporter.
The NRL has issued him a formal warning.
