Brisbane Broncos star Reece Walsh caused a stir in his team’s camp when he limped off early during the match against the Warriors.
In just the second minute of play, Walsh was seen struggling and unable to reach the ball as winger Selwyn Cobbo took the first hit-up instead.
The fullback immediately signalled towards his knee, prompting the trainer to rush over to assist him.
“Walsh looks to be in a bit of strife… he doesn’t seem comfortable,” Mick Ennis commented on Fox League.

Walsh got involved early on, with a kick-off that was somewhat shallower than expected, resulting in him being tackled hard by Kurt Capewell.
“That might be a tactical move by the Warriors,” Ennis suggested.

Despite the initial worries over his injury, Walsh managed to continue playing and regained his usual speed.
The Broncos opened the scoring in Auckland when Billy Walters, who had been shifted to the starting hooker role, faked a pass near the line, outsmarting the Warriors’ defence to cross for a try.
