Rangers are set to take on Greek side Panathinaikos in the second round of Champions League qualifying next month, following Wednesday’s draw.
The victorious team from this matchup will be seeded into the third qualifying round, where they will encounter Benfica, Club Brugge, and Feyenoord, who are making their entrance into the tournament.
In other matchups of the second round, Red Bull Salzburg will square off against the Norwegian club Brann, while FC Copenhagen are set to meet the winners of a first-round clash between Kosovan team Drita and Differdange from Luxembourg.
Meanwhile, Rangers’ rivals from Glasgow, Celtic, will begin their campaign in the play-off round, from which seven teams will qualify for the 36-team league phase.
The first legs of the second qualifying round are scheduled for July 22nd and 23rd, with the return fixtures to follow on July 29th and 30th.
In the Europa League second qualifying round, Turkish giants Besiktas are poised to face either Shakhtar Donetsk or Finnish side Ilves.
