The Sharks and Rabbitohs are looking into an incident involving South Sydney’s mascot after claims that a nine-year-old boy was pushed in the face at Shark Park.
Charlie Gallico, known as “Reggie The Rabbit,” the mascot for South Sydney, was accused of pushing the child during Saturday’s match, where the Rabbitohs faced off against the Sharks, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
Both clubs have confirmed to The Herald that they are aware of the situation. A video shared on TikTok shows the mascot approaching a young Sharks supporter.
“We are investigating the matter and will refrain from making any further comments until our inquiry is complete,” stated the Rabbitohs in an official statement.

“We have made contact with the boy’s mother to inform her that we are looking into this matter.”
The investigation is believed to have been prompted by a social media post from the child’s mother, who alleged that Gallico assaulted her son. The Sharks were notified before the matter was escalated to the Rabbitohs and the NRL.
The NRL is also conducting further inquiries.
