Queens Park Rangers (QPR) have officially unveiled the signing of Australian rising star Jaylan Pearman from Perth Glory.
Pearman makes his move to England after wrapping up his contract with Isuzu UTE A-League, and will initially join QPR’s Development Squad.
The promising forward will reunite with another graduate from the A-Leagues at QPR – former Glory standout Daniel Bennie.
“It feels incredible. Playing in Europe has always been a dream of mine, so I’m thrilled to be here,” Pearman shared.
“QPR has a strong reputation for nurturing young talent, so it’s a fantastic pathway compared to other clubs I considered.”
“I genuinely believe this was the right decision for me.”
Having come through the ranks at Glory’s academy, Pearman made his senior debut in January, subsequently featuring in 12 league matches and netting four goals under head coach David Zdrilic.
Pearman concluded the season on a high note, earning a nomination for the Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year for April/May, in addition to winning the Shark Player of the Month award based on fan voting during the same period.
At the Most Glorious Player Awards held in early May, he received the DT38 Young Player of the Year accolade for his impressive inaugural season with the senior team.
“At the beginning of the season, I never thought anything like this would happen,” he reflected.
“Then came January, and after my debut, I was starting matches almost immediately. I really hit the ground running, and I’m quite happy with how things turned out.”
Regarding his reconnection with fellow Aussie Bennie, who transferred to QPR at the close of the 2023-24 season, Pearman said: “I was on the phone to him nearly every day once I learned about the chance to come here!”
“He was really supportive and his encouragement played a big part in my decision.”

QPR CEO Christian Nourry commented: “Jaylan possesses a unique profile as an 8/10 player, demonstrating an ability to take precise shots even in tight spaces.
“Fans can expect a dynamic midfield player who is always on the move.”
“Regarded as one of the standout emerging talents from the 2024/25 A-League season, I believe – as with any young player – Jaylan will require time and patience to adjust to his new environment and the physical demands of English football.”
