Noa Lang, the Netherlands international, is reportedly set to join Italian champions Napoli following an agreement reached between PSV and the Neapolitan club.
Napoli has had their sights on Lang since the January transfer window, having attempted to pry him away from PSV at that time. However, the Eindhoven outfit vetoed the move, as confirmed by director Earnest Stewart in May.
“We were at the forefront of the league during the winter break, and we decided against selling one of our top players,” he told NOS. “Everyone thought we were mad. We made a deliberate choice not to do that and discussed it promptly with Noa and his agent.”
As per a report from NOS Sport, a full agreement has been reached for a permanent transfer. The 26-year-old is set to ink a five-year contract in Naples, which will see him earn €2.5 million annually. Italian transfer expert Nicolo Schira reports that the fee will comprise a fixed sum of €25 million, plus an additional €4 million in performance-related bonuses.
Lang, who honed his skills in the youth academies of Feyenoord and Ajax, moved to PSV in 2023 from Club Brugge, who received €12 million for the talented winger. During his two seasons with the 26-time champions, Lang netted 19 goals and provided 14 assists across 63 appearances.
