Paris Saint-Germain faced their first Ligue 1 defeat of the season as they fell to OGC Nice, who secured a notable 3-1 win at the iconic Parc des Princes.
Even though PSG have already clinched the league title, Luis Enrique’s team aimed to finish the season unbeaten. However, Nice had their own ambitions, vying for UEFA Champions League (UCL) qualification.
As expected, Les Parisiens dominated possession and created several threatening chances early on, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia finding space in the area and having a close-range shot expertly saved by Marcin Bułka.
Despite their control, PSG suffered a blow in the 34th minute when Badredine Bouanani’s pinpoint through ball found Morgan Sanson, who confidently converted with a first-time finish past Gianluigi Donnarumma, sending shockwaves through the home crowd.
PSG responded within just seven minutes as Ousmane Dembélé, in fine form, delivered a clever chipped ball over the Nice defence, setting up Fabián Ruiz, who deftly guided it past Bułka with his left foot.

Many observers anticipated PSG would take command of the match following their equaliser, yet they were hit with another blow less than a minute after the second half commenced.
Jonathan Clauss delivered a cross from the right, which Sanson met with an acrobatic finish, steering the ball into the net and putting Nice back in front with only their second shot on target.
Facing the task of coming from behind for the second time, PSG almost found parity again when Warren Zaïre-Emery had his attempt from within the area blocked by a resolute Nice defence.
Nice weathered the storm and maintained their lead as the second half progressed. With 20 minutes left, they struck the decisive blow.
Bouanani’s free-kick into the box was met by Youssouf Ndayishimiye, who powered the ball home, securing an outstanding three points for Les Aiglons and temporarily boosting them into the UCL qualification spots.

With their dreams of an unbeaten league season dashed, PSG can now focus entirely on their upcoming UCL semi-final clash against Arsenal next month, followed by a meeting with Stade de Reims in the Coupe de France final later this month.
