Burnley, who recently joined the Premier League, has confirmed the acquisition of left-back Quilindschy Hartman from Feyenoord.
Hartman, who began his journey with Feyenoord at just 9 years old, dedicated over 14 years to the Rotterdam outfit. Since breaking into the first team in 2022, the 23-year-old has made 83 appearances for Feyenoord, claiming the Eredivisie title in 2023 and the KNVB Beker in 2024.
A major knee injury hindered his prospects of a move to Chelsea in 2024 and saw him sidelined for most of the 2024/25 season, in which he managed to feature in only 12 matches.
‘A Truly Special Feeling’
Having inked a four-year contract at Turf Moor, Hartman expressed a “truly special feeling of hunger and excitement” following his move to the Premier League side.
“From our very first conversation, I was filled with excitement and admiration for the coach, who I’d say was the primary reason for my decision to join. I’m thrilled that the deal is finalised, I take immense pride in being here, and I can hardly wait to get started next week,” remarked the 4-cap Dutch international on the club’s website.
While Burnley and Feyenoord have kept the transfer fee under wraps, reports from Dutch media suggest it was in the vicinity of €12 million.
