Perth Glory has secured the future of one of its most promising young talents, offering midfielder Will Freney a two-year extension to his contract.
Having made his Isuzu UTE A-League debut in round nine against Brisbane Roar, the 19-year-old went on to feature in an additional 10 matches, with seven of those being in the starting lineup under head coach David Zdrilic.
“Last season marked my first year in professional football, and it was incredibly thrilling,” Freney remarked after inking his new deal.
“I’ve grown and developed significantly as a player, positioning myself well for the upcoming season.
“The club’s trajectory is genuinely exciting, and I’m eager to be part of it.
“The philosophy and style of football being implemented by the coaching staff resonates with me, and I believe the team’s environment will play a pivotal role in my development as both a player and an individual.
