A player from the Sea Eagles is set to provide an explanation to the NRL following an altercation with two fans from the Warriors during Friday night’s clash at Mount Smart Stadium.
The NRL has confirmed that it is looking into a sideline incident involving Sea Eagles hooker Gordon Chan Kum Tong during their 36-16 defeat against the Warriors.
Video footage circulated on social media captures Chan Kum Tong in a heated exchange with the two Warriors supporters.

In the video, Chan Kum Tong is seen appearing to grab one of the fans by the jersey.
This incident reportedly stemmed from the fans heckling Chan Kum Tong’s teammate, Jake Trbojevic, as he left the field after being sin-binned in the 62nd minute.
“The NRL is aware of the video circulating online and is currently conducting inquiries,” an NRL spokesperson informed The Sydney Morning Herald on Saturday morning.
Compounding the Sea Eagles’ misfortunes across the ditch, both Tom Trbojevic and Daly Cherry-Evans could not complete the match due to injuries.
