The Newcastle Jets have announced that nine players will be leaving the club following the conclusion of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
With the Jets entering a fresh chapter under new head coach Mark Milligan, the following players will bid farewell to Newcastle as their contracts come to an end on June 30: Dane Ingham, Ryan Scott, Matt Scarcella, Justin Vidic, Wellissol, Callum Timmins, Jacob Dowse, Charles M’Mombwa, and Zac Bowling.
After finishing ninth in the 2024-25 season, eight points behind the top six, the Jets saw Rob Stanton depart from his position.
“The club extends its best wishes to all departing players as they embark on new journeys,” read an official statement.

New Zealand international defender Ingham, 25, will depart Newcastle having accumulated 95 appearances over four seasons, comprising 87 in the Isuzu UTE A-League and eight in the Australia Cup, contributing nine assists along the way.
Goalkeeper Ryan Scott, a fan favourite, served as captain on two occasions in the A-Leagues, becoming the 41st player to take on that role for the Jets. He exits the club with 51 appearances under his belt, including 46 in the Isuzu UTE A-League and five in the Australia Cup, since joining in 2023.

Midfielder Callum Timmins, with a wealth of experience, also departs after making 67 appearances over three seasons for the Jets, playing in 62 A-League matches, including 25 this season.

Striker Justin Vidic played in 15 matches for the Jets, including two in the Australia Cup and 13 in the A-Leagues over two seasons, scoring three goals, with a notable match-winning double against Rockdale Illinden in the 2024 Australia Cup Round of 32.
Brazilian forward Wellissol also concludes his spell with the Jets after making 15 appearances this season.




Matthew Scarcella will return to parent club Sydney FC after his season-long loan, where he made 16 appearances. Charles M’Mombwa leaves the Jets after scoring once in 13 games following his January transfer.
Jacob Dowse featured in one match during the 2023 Australia Cup, and Zac Bowling also departs after having been part of the A-Leagues squad this season.
