Motorsport Australia has revised its licence structures and pricing to facilitate and make it more economical for enthusiasts to engage in the sport.
According to Michael Melilli, General Manager of Customer & Development at Motorsport Australia, the updated licence frameworks offer improved flexibility and cost savings for participants at all levels of the motorsport community.
“These updates come after in-depth discussions with the rally and off-road community to ensure the adjustments genuinely address the requirements of those passionate about the sport,” Melilli stated.

New licence options have been introduced for rally and off-road competitors, including the Rally Licence priced at $170 and the Single Event Rally Licence at $85. These changes offer affordable entry points for club and state-level competitions, with optional upgrades available for interstate or national events.

In a similar vein, the Club Off Road Licence at $170 and the Single Event Off Road Licence at $85 provide an accessible route into off-road racing, bolstering grassroots development and making participation easier than ever for newcomers.
These revisions will take effect from Tuesday, 1 July 2025.
“We have listened to the requirements of the rally and off-road community. These modifications are aimed at assisting clubs in fostering grassroots participation,” Melilli remarked.
“Regardless of whether you are a veteran competitor or a novice, the new licence offerings are crafted to lower barriers to participation while maintaining the highest standards for safe, fair, and enjoyable competitions. These changes underscore Motorsport Australia’s ongoing commitment to enhancing and backing rally and off-road motorsport, adopting a future-focused approach that prioritises competitors.”
“This marks a significant advancement and heralds a thrilling new era for the rally and off-road community.”
