Paris Saint-Germain are still on track to become the first team in Ligue 1 history to complete a season without a single loss (W24, D6), despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Nantes at the Stade de la Beaujoire.
Nantes, who find themselves in a tense relegation battle involving at least six teams, put in a commendable performance against the recently crowned champions during the opening minutes of this crucial clash.
It wasn’t until the 30th minute that either team managed a meaningful shot, with Ousmane Dembele, the division’s top scorer, sending a tame effort straight into the hands of home goalkeeper Patrik Carlgren.
However, the visitors eventually broke the deadlock soon after the half-hour mark, as Lee Kang-In’s precise pass enabled Vitinha to unleash a stunning strike that left Carlgren with no chance from within the box.
Just before half-time, Joao Neves almost doubled the lead with a fierce volley, but Nantes’ substitute keeper—stepping in for the injured Anthony Lopes—made a crucial save, using his agility to deflect Neves’ effort away from the goal.
After failing to register a shot on target in the first half, Nantes emerged with renewed energy after the break, and only a remarkable one-handed save by Gianluigi Donnarumma around the hour mark kept Jean Charles-Castelletto from equalising for the hosts.

In response to this near miss, PSG manager Luis Enrique made a bold move with a triple substitution, bringing on the £80 million signing Goncalo Ramos, the in-form Bradley Barcola—who has notched up 23 goal contributions in the league this season—and the promising young talent Desire Doue.
Despite these changes, it was still Vitinha who came closest to scoring next with another effort that was brilliantly saved by Carlgren.
Carlgren maintained his excellent form in Lopes’ absence, even denying Barcola in a one-on-one situation.
The Swedish keeper’s standout performance ultimately secured a vital point for Nantes, as Douglas Augusto found the net with a stunning equaliser in the 83rd minute.
This crucial point lifts Nantes four points clear of the relegation play-off zone with only four games left in the season.
Meanwhile, PSG’s unbeaten away streak extends to an incredible 39 matches (W30, D9), despite not managing to secure all three points on this occasion.
