As reported by the Swedish outlet Aftonbladet, 37-year-old Danish international striker Nadia Nadim, currently with AC Milan, has secured a loan agreement with Allsvenskan side Hammarby until the mid-season break.
Nadim arrived in Stockholm on Tuesday and is expected to be officially unveiled by the Swedish club soon. Prior to the season kick-off, Hammarby also signed Norwegian international Emilie Bragstad.
Aftonbladet indicates that Nadim’s contract will remain in effect until the summer break.
In a cost-effective arrangement, Hammarby will reportedly contribute only 10% of Nadim’s wages, while AC Milan will continue to cover the majority of her monthly salary, which amounts to €35,000.
The seasoned Danish forward boasts an impressive career, highlighted by a silver medal at the 2017 European Championships. She has accumulated over 100 caps for the Danish national team.
Additionally, Nadim has played for prestigious clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and Portland Thorns, alongside her time at AC Milan.
